Visa, misc

This morning Izumi met us at our apartment and we took a taxi to the US embassy for our final appointment--the visa interview.  We were sworn in, and had to answer some questions and provide more paperwork.  But then they granted her the visa--meaning we can officially bring Willow into the US, and she is officially in our care (the adoption won't be complete until we do more paperwork in the US, however).  Yay!  Here's a picture of her visa inside her passport.

 It is nice to be done with all of the official paperwork--we should have no problems getting back home. It was quite a hot and humid day out today, so we mainly took it easy. After the appointment, we went back to the apartment and had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch, and took a nap. It was a nice relaxing afternoon.  Here's a picture of me relaxing with my two babies :)

 And here's a new position we've found Willow finds relaxing.  She is so funny--she really loves being rocked and moved around.

Then we decided to give Willow a bath.  Here is Fox watching over Willow as we got things ready:

Then we went to a convenience store for a snack--we got some tasty drinks, a pastry, and a big kit-kat bar and came home and ate them.  When we got hungry for dinner we decided to go to Akasaka and hang out.  I'm going to miss that area--it is just such a cool place to hang out--so bustling, yet very approachable.  Here's Fox and Chris on the pedestrian overpass we take to get there.

 We walked around a bit and then went to Subway for dinner.  I am definitely going to miss Japanese Subway sandwiches!  They are so much better than in the US, and the sauces are awesome.  Here's a picture of our tamago (egg) sandwich.  Oishii!!

 Fox saw me taking a picture of my sandwich, and wanted me to take a picture of the fried potato he was eating--which were also quite tasty, and come in flavors such as cheese (shown) and basil :)

 And here's a picture that Izumi took yesterday while we were killing time in a shopping area before the doctor appointment.  We went into a big electronics store and on one floor there were lots of massage chairs--Fox really wanted to try one out:

Tomorrow we are thinking about going to Asakusa and the big temple area there.  We went last time we were in Tokyo, and thought it was really cool.  And then, in the evening, we *hopefully* will get to meet Mina, Willow's birthmother.  I really want to, but it also makes me quite anxious.  I'm nervous--and I know it will be incredibly emotional for all of us.  What a fantastic opportunity, though, if we do get to!!!
